Positive: We stayed from September 10th to 17th at this farmhouse in Slovenia and the experience was excellent. The location is perfect: right in the center of the country, which makes it very easy to explore different regions. The surroundings are beautiful, a valley surrounded by mountains, with cows, chickens, and a friendly dog that give a true countryside feeling. The accommodation is very well maintained and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Our host, Magda, was incredibly kind and attentive from the very beginning. Even though our flight was delayed and we arrived well past midnight (much later than the usual check-in time), she waited for us with a warm welcome. She even took the time to send us Google Maps screenshots to avoid bad roads—something we really appreciated as we were traveling with a 3-month-old baby and it was raining heavily that night. Throughout the week she made us feel at home: she welcomed us with a drink, showed us a folder with routes, photos, and tips for visiting the area, and always asked how we were doing and what we had visited. On top of that, she surprised us with thoughtful gestures such as offering us a homemade cake baked by her daughter, venison sausages prepared by her husband, and on our last day, gifting us two bottles of their homemade liqueur. In short, this is a beautiful accommodation in an ideal location to discover Slovenia, but above all, it’s the outstanding hospitality that makes it so special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, nature, and authentic warmth.
