Positive: We had a wonderful stay in a quiet and well-appointed accommodation—a newly built house featuring modern amenities, including a dishwasher, washing machine, plates, pots, and an espresso machine, etc. The space was impeccably tidy and well-maintained. The air conditioning was highly efficient and practical. Despite the house being well-equipped with mosquito nets, we encountered very few mosquitoes in the evenings on the balcony (though we have heard, that other local inhabitants may be wondering around fenced property- nothing of concern like: jacals, foxes and deer). The hospitality from the owners, who reside on the ground floor and have their own entrance, was exceptional. They went out of their way to help us navigate the area and recommend the best places to visit both in Slovenia and closest places of Croatia. During our three-night stay, we and other guests were treated to a special dinner prepared by the hosts, featuring delicious snacks made from local farm products. The food was amazing, and the company was equally delightful. Helena is well proficient in English, while her husband Boris was always friendly and enthusiastic in his expression of thoughts, sparking and engaging conversations at the table. Though pets are not allowed, there is a wonderful-friendly dog on the property who is great with both adults and children. We found him to be a source of comfort and suggested he could be considered for pet therapy, as he is always there for a cuddle without being intrusive.
Negative: Though can be taken both ways - On one hand, it is somewhat distant from local supermarkets and restaurants, which can only be accessed by car or bicycle. On the other hand, it is just a few kilometres from the Croatian border, allowing easy access to major attractions in both Slovenia and Croatia.
