Batvaci is a small village near Vodnjan, a small town about 10 km from Pula.
Walking through the old part of the city, you will notice numerous buildings belonging to different historical periods: Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The museum is located in a palace built in the year 1300, which belonged to the Bettica family. The church of St Blaž. Has the highest bell tower in Istria, peaking at 62meters. The Church is located on the Main Square, and allows visitors. Inside, you can see the collection of saint's relics, as well as the Vodnjan's mummies – which are a nature's miracle. In Vodnjan, you can visit the Oil mill and buy the olive oil made by locals
Nearest beach can be found in Barbariga, about 2.5 kilometers from the house. There you can go swimming, snorkeling, kayaking or scuba diving.
Fažana is just a few kilometers souther. A ferry to National Park Brijuni sails daily. Brijuni archipelago are famous for it's endemic submerged flora and fauna, but they also have a safari park which you can visit, multiple interactive museums and ruins dating back to Roman era.
