The living space at Villa Daminar can be found on the first floor and is accessed via a grand external staircase that leads up from the driveway to the front door. Step inside, and you will be warmly welcomed into the majestic entrance hall with extremely high ceilings, from which the enormous open-plan living-kitchen-dining area can be found. This space is perfect for socialising as you can move freely between the spaces without stopping the flow of conversation. The living area boasts cathedral-style ceilings and is slightly raised from the rest of the room, emphasising the grandeur of the space. Here you will find a three-piece sofa set and a queen-size futon that can be set up in the corner to accommodate two extra guests if needed, so feel free to invite the extended family along to enjoy the holiday too! Down a few steps and you enter the dining area, which can seat up to eight guests comfortably and boasts two oversized sliding doors that open onto the front terrace, where you will find yet more seating from which you can enjoy the Croatian sunshine. Finally, in this space you will find the kitchen, which is modern and bright and is equipped with all you could need to cook up a storm for your friends and family.

To the rear are the villa's three bedrooms and a convenient laundry room equipped with a washing machine, so you can keep everything clean and tidy should you wish. The master bedroom boasts a sumptuous queen-size bed and it's own en-suite bathroom from extra privacy. The remaining two bedrooms are both home to further queen-size beds and share use of a good-sized family bathroom.

The outside space at Villa Daminar certainly does not disappoint. The 9m x 5m swimming pool is the star of the show and is surrounded by a large terrace with eight sun loungers for you to unwind upon. Beside the pool is a covered pool-side cabana equipped with an outdoor lounge area, dining suite and outdoor kitchen boasting quartz countertops, a stove, fridge and barbecue so you can truly embrace outdoor living here.

The nearest town of Omis has plenty going on, from the historic architecture of the Old Town to adrenaline-inducing zip lining across the Cetina Canyon. There is also a vast selection of restaurants and bars in Omis, with cuisines ranging from Italian to Croatian and more international flavours, so you will find something for everyone to enjoy here.

Location:

Villa Daminar is located in a quiet hillside position between the small villages of Tugare and Srinjine, around 10km from the town of Omis. Tugare is a sleepy village with an authentic feel and is home to a few amenities, including an ATM and a few small restaurants and bars. For larger amenities, including a supermarket and a greater selection of bars and restaurants then head to the town of Omis.

The 13th century Mirabella Fortress is situated behind Omis Old Town and is a great way to see the city and get in some exercise, as you'll have to climb quite a few steps to get to the top! There are also a number of churches, including an old Franciscan Monastery, which are a great way to learn more about the history of the town.

If you are more into sporting activities, then Cetina Canyon offers a number of thrill-seeking activities. Rafting tours operate multiple times a day down the Cetina River and are recommended for children aged eight and above. Canyoning is also great fun and is perhaps a more 'hands-on' experience in the valley. A number of watersports are also available on some of the beaches surrounding Omis, and if you want to head into the mountains then hiking and hill-climbing tours are on offer.

There is more than 1.5km of sand beaches around Omis, which can be hard to come by in Croatia as it is a country better known for its rock and pebble beaches. Velika Plaza is 700m long and is situated in the very centre of Omis. This is a great place for families as there is a playground and activities such as volleyball and football available on the beach. The water in the beaches around Omis can be a bit cooler than further along the coast thanks to the freshwater flowing in from the Cetina River, so head north towards Split if you fancy a day trip to warmer shores.
