Positive: If it wasn't for the location this would have been like a Carry on film. The property has a beautiful terrace that overlooks the sea with ladders down to the water. The terrace is a shared walkway for the 2 other properties beside this one as well as the shared outdoor shower so you could be having dinner with a stranger showering in front of you. The driveway is also first come first served. None of this was made clear on Booking.com. Limited bus service and stops at 5pm. There is no beach below the property only another shared terrace and it's just a drop so any children could not be left alone. It is a good terrace but again, first come, first served. There was a deflated paddle-board, no pump, one oar and a lilo in the downstairs store. A great shame as it was an excellent paddle-board location. Lots of sea urchins so beach shoes are a must. However there is a lovely little public stone beach 10 mins away along the sea path and over some smooth rocks. The property is big with 4 good size bedrooms, 5 beds, all with good plantation blinds and double glazed windows. 3 good sized bathrooms, a living room and kitchen and an upstairs landing with a big vista window and mosquito net. We had lots of towels, each bed had 1 or 2 incredibly awful pillows and a quilt. The mattresses were like sleeping on a flat rock. There are no shops or restaurants around but we didn't mind as we had a car. Lidl and other supermarkets are 15 mins away. Uber service was fantastic for getting into the old city.

Negative: The whole property was furnished like the left overs of a jumble sale apart from the two sofas in the living room. A few thousand pounds would sort this property into something really special. Doors are old, things aren't finished off properly, nothing matches, the kitchen is a mish mash of weird objects. We had to buy mugs in the supermarket as there were only 2 old work mugs. The large downstairs bedroom has an odd garden water feature in it, still plumbed in which started to leak. It has soil in the bottom which is even weirder! The air conditioning in the living room never was fixed and the other unit controllers needed new batteries which never materialised. However, a large portion of the living room ceiling falling down due to a leak in the upstairs shower paled everything else into comparison. We had no upstairs shower for 24 hours, can cope with that, but mushrooms and black mould very quickly sprouted across the wet living room ceiling, didn't want to cope with that. There was a good washing machine and dishwasher in the property but an old outside dryer was falling apart every time it was used. The upstairs toilet had the unusual set up of opening out to another properties small terrace so when using the toilet it was essential to have the blind and window shut, unless you like to share everything! One of the bedrooms had a globe ceiling light which was full of dead bugs so when it was on it looked like a horror film. We could not access the property until smack on 3pm and the cleaners were waiting on us vacating the property at 9am on the day of departure. The manager was a lovely guy but there were so many things going wrong we gave up. I really would like to correspond with the actual owner as it was very poor service for what we paid.
