Near the villa there are also tourist towns such as Porec or Novigrad (both about 16 km from the villa). Porec is known today for the impressive Euphrasian Basilica (part of the UNESCO heritage since 1997), from the Byzantine period. If you are traveling with children, you can take a trip to Aquapark Istralandia, which is about a 20-minute drive from the villa. You can also visit the charming nearby town of Novigrad. This pleasant small town was also known as a fishing village and still retains the typical atmosphere of a Mediterranean town. Here you can visit fortresses and old churches as well as numerous museums, bars and restaurants. Look for wine routes and olive oil trails in the surrounding area and taste the valuable domestic products of Istria.
