Positive: The location was ideal for us as a family - in beautiful countryside; 20 min to Koper - the next big harbor town; 30 min from Trieste. The hosts very kind and accomodating our late arrival (due to traffic congestion and traveling with young children). The house itself is as beautiful and comfortable as the listing shows. It's stacked with high end kitchen machines and tastefully furnished throughout. The house was sparkling clean and the pool was a hughe benefit for us travelling with little kids. There are two villas next to one another, each with a private entrance and private outdoor seating space. The driveway and pool are shared. We enjoyed meeting the othere guests during our times at the pool. We were 6 adult and 2 children and stayed in the larger Villa, they were 3 people and stayed in the smaller Villa. Both are unique and beautifully designed and decorated.

Negative: We were bothered by mosquitos at night. Although the house is air conditioned (great benefit during hot summers) the first floor level got quite warm and we needed to open a window. Our only recommendation would be to add screens to the windows. But I didn't see screens anywhere else in the region, so maybe it's not customary.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay there and can highly recommend it without reservation.
